Van Gogh Collage

This Van Gogh inspired "Starry Night" collage was made using tissue paper, construction paper, gel medium, a white crayon, and a glue stick. The first part of this project was done by taking small pieces of tissue paper and "glued" on using gel medium. Next I cut out my landscape, which is a city building landscape. After that I created the illusion of lights/window on the building using the white crayon. Next, I created the swirls on the tissue paper and glued on the buildings.

Extension Activity: This would be a great activity for students to do in an upper elementary/middle school math class where students would have to replicate building by creating an approximate scale. This could then be used to compare the size of different building and/or other large scale objects.
